Clydesdale Harriers Presentation Night

Saturday 22 March 2025

Last night the club celebrated the annual presentation of prizes at St Stephens Dalmuir and what a fantastic night it was.

It was great to see so many of our athletes, parents, coaches and committee members in attendance. Thanks to Robert and Emily for their hard work putting it together on the night.

It was a very busy evening as there were two years of medals to be awarded on the night, so a huge congratulations to all our prize winners, they have worked incredibly hard over the last two years and it was fantastic to see them enjoying their rewards,

Apart from the presentation of prizes ( see below for a full list of prize winners) there was a fun quiz, hosted by Emily, there was also a great raffle. Thank you to all who donated and particularly to James Strang Ltd and Campbell/Kennedy, Mitie, Loch Lomond Golf Club, The Coffee Club and Great Western Golf, the prizes were truly amazing.

There were two special awards made on the night. The first was the official presentation of the Inaugural John Hume Trophy. Phil Dolan gave a lovely tribute to John Hume, a former Clydesdale Harrier who sadly passed away in December 2022. John’s family contacted the club to donate a trophy in his memory. The winner of the Trophy was Mya Mackie.

The second special award was made to Phil Dolan for his outstanding commitment to Clydesdale Harriers as an athlete, coach, mentor and administrator.

The award was introduced by President, Peter Rudzinski and there were two lovely reflections from Emily Paxton and Iain Robertson not only covering Phil’s personal achievements as an athlete but their personal insight about how Phil helped shaped them, and dozens of others, as athletes and people. As they say behind every good coach there’s a very good partner and Phil’s wife Ann received a lovely bouquet of flowers, with thanks from all at Clydesdale Harriers.

Well done everyone.
