REPORT FOR THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH OF SCOTLAND

ATHLETICS LEAGUE MATCH
HELD AT LINWOOD SPORTS STADIUM

Sunday 6 th April 2025

On an absolutely glorious day Clydesdale took part in the first CSSAL League match
of the season. The club are in Division 3 and are looking to put in a strong
performance this season, with hopefully and eye on promotion. The provisional
results show us having won the match which is a great result.
Throughout the day there were excellent performances by our athletes and a string
of first places in both A and B events including, Iain Robertson (Masters 100m),
Michael Miller (Mens 800m), Ruaraidh King (Sen Men 100m) and Fraser McCann
(U13 100m).
We had two debut athletes in Emmanuel Banton and Raphael Johnson who both
produced excellent performances and won both U17 100m and 400m A and B races
respectively.
The Girls and Ladies were not to be outdone and put in terrific performances with
Eilidh Haggerty continuing to brush aside all comers with a great performance and
first place in the in the Under 15 girls 100m with a time of 12.97. Myah Kwiatkowska
continues to improve her long jump with a second place and a jump of 3.60m. Liora
Park had excellent performances in shot put with 5.38m and a javelin of 10.63.
In the senior ladies Jade Milne, returning to competition, after a long lay off won the
Senior Womens 100m, 400m and 800m and Emily Paxton throwing an excellent
Javelin of 13.53.
A truly excellent performance by the club and onward to the next CSSAL meeting on
1 st June 2025 at Grangemouth.
