CROSS COUNTRY RACES AT
WOODHEAD PARK, KIRKINTILLOCH

The races hosted by Springburn Harriers at Woodhead Park are proving to a popular
event for many young athletes. The races are based on the Primary and Secondary
School Age and also include some pre school races.
The weather for the event was overcast but the rain stayed away and the course was
excellent for competitors and also for spectating.
Clydesdale had a number of youngsters running and one or two were first timers for
this event, so well done to all our athletes.
In the Boys P3/P4 800m race Rory McKinnnon (23 rd ) ran 4.24.
In the P5/P6/P7 1200m race, Riley O’Hare had a terrific run finishing 8 th overall and
1 st in the P5 category with a time of 5.10. Keir Cameron had a steady run in 30 th with
a time of 5.48.
In the S1-S3 2400m Sam Rider ran well finishing (13 th ) in 11.52 and Lily Duncan
finished 14 th and 2 nd overall in the S3 category with a time of 12.07
