DOUBLE GOLD FOR OUR CLUB CAPTAIN – IAIN ROBERTSON
Two of our veteran athletes travelled to Ayr to take part in the Scottish National Track
and Field Championships on Saturday 5 July 2025 at the Riverside Stadium, Ayr.
Iain Robertson was competing in the V45 Masters 800m and 1500m and Darren
Dunn was competing in the V50 100m and 200m.
Iain, the mens Club Captain has previously won Scottish Veterans Gold medals in
the 800m both outdoors and indoors and this season has competed for the club in
the CSSAL League winning 100m, 200m, 800m and 1500m events. However, on
Saturday Iain produced two outstanding performances to secure doubled gold
medals in the V45 800m and 1500m events. Iain recorded 2.11.01 in his 800m and
4.38.80 in his 1500m.
Darren Dunn competing in the V50 100m and 200m produced two personal bests,
14.76 and 30.56 respectively. So well done and congratulations to both guys.
