Report for the Dunbartonshire AAA Cross Country Relay Championships

Held at Balloch Park on Saturday 18 October 2025

SUCCESS FOR CLYDESDALE

It was a perfect day for cross country running at Balloch Park on Saturday 18 October for the Dunbartonshire AAA Cross Country Relay Championships.

Despite it being a very testing course Clydesdale put in a good performance, especially in the Under 11 age group.

The overall Under 11 Girls race was won by Mirren Grieves with a very strong performance, Mirren led from start to finish on a tough 1mile trail. The under 11 girls won the team race with Mirren, being very well backed up by Abigail Cross and Sarah Stewart.  There were also good performances from Indie McMillan and Emma Currie

In the Under 11 Boys event Ben Currie produced a storming finish to take 3rd overall in the boys race and both Riley O’Hare and Archie McIntosh had great runs to secure the boys team title. Again, there were good runs from Fionnbharr Donoghue, Ben McGinlay, Cameron Moore and Euan Campbell.

Well done to all the youngsters especially as some of them were competing in their first competition.

In the Seniors Mens Race there were excellent runs from Michael Millar, Iain Robertson and Michael Diver.   Well done to Jade Milne, who is getting better and better, Jade had a fine run to record 3rd fastest time in the Senior Ladies Race.
