DAAA 5000 meters Track Championship

7pm Wednesday 15 May 2024

The DAAA 2023 5000 Metres Track Championships will be held on Wednesday 15 May 2024 at St Peter the Apostle High School, Kirkoswald Drive, Clydebank G81 2DB.

Only members of a DAAA club will be eligible to take part. Only members of a DAAA club will be eligible to take part. Cost per runner will be £2.00 which will be invoiced to the clubs following the event.

Entrants will be able to pre-register for the event. To assist with seeding entrants will be asked for their best 5000 metres times for 2023/24. Club vests must be worn for the competition.

Runners will be allowed to run in spikes or road running shoes.

Estimated Timetable:

School opens to those taking part 6:45pm Registration opens 6:50pm First race 7:15pm – the following race times will depend on the seeding information that we receive from sign-ups.

Championship Medals will be awarded to:

• Senior Men: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
• Senior Women: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
• Masters Men: 1st V40, 1st V50, 1st V60+
• Masters Women: 1st V40, 1st V50, 1st V60+
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd male team – four to count, any age 1st, 2nd, 3rd female team – four to count, any age

In the event of heats being required awards will be based on the times in each heat.
