Clydesdale Harriers Committee Meeting

Friday 17^th June 2022 – Minutes

1. P.Rudzinski, J.Wright, S.McKee, , W. Jones, J.Hanratty, G.Kennedy, D.Mitchell, D.Rothin.
2. R.Paxton, E.Paxton, N.Armstrong, W.Rooney, P.McCrossan.

3. Minutes of previous Meeting (AGM). The minutes were read and accepted as correct, moved by J.Wright and seconded by J.Hanratty.

4. Matters Arising. A. Website Revamp. G.Kennedy gave an update on potential improvements to the website – to be co-ordinated by sending data to Gerry’s IT guy. We are hoping to have a meeting with him next Friday to agree protocols etc.

1. First aid courses. Dates have been agreed for participants at Clydebank Leisure Centre. Wed 22^nd June and Monday 27^th June.

1. Schools Contact. No further progress to report – will be pursued after the school holidays.

1. Junior Section. It looks as if the postings on local Facebook pages has resulted in an increase in attendance for juniors with new faces arriving recently. It looks promising but we will continue to seek additional ways to attract new members.

5. All previously distributed to relevant persons via email.

6. Treasurer’s Report. Reports for April read by J.W., approved by JH and GK. Rather than printing 10 copies and bringing to meeting, JW will in future email these reports to committee members.

7. PVG. JW has contacted Scottish Athletics to start the process of ensuring that all relevant officials etc are properly certificated to deal with vulnerable groups. Jim will co-ordinate the form filling and sending the appropriate correspondence to the relevant authorities.

There has been 2 recent incidents of Garscube senior members disappearing into the trees round the track for a comfort break. We need to ensure that they are aware that this is not an acceptable thing to do. If they need to go, they can get a card to get into the school to use the toilets. We need to let the Garscube coaches know this so that they can inform their members.

8. Date of Next Meeting. Friday 15th July 2022.
