YOUTH DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
SUNDAY 21st April – GRANGEMOUTH
Our club junior section were out in action on Sunday 21 April ,2024, and braved changeable weather conditions to represent Clydesdale Harriers at Grangemouth Stadium, competing in a wide range of events in the Youth Development League. Our team completed the day by finishing in 6th place overall which was great in terms of league position. A big thanks for all athletes who took part in the event and for all the back up teams of coaches and parents ensuring a great turnout.
CSSAL LEAGUE MATCH
Saturday 27th April – GRANGEMOUTH
Once again our club junior section and adult section turned out at the first CSSAL league match of the season held at Grangemouth. The event covered all age groups from very young athletes to our adult athletes. The club was well represented and the day seen some fantastic efforts from our members ranging from under 11 right through to veteran members (Masters). Early indications from results have our club sitting in 3rd place overall which is magnificent considering the calibre of clubs we were up against.
the attention now turns to the next competition at AYR on 19th May at the Youth Development league where our under 13 AND 15 athletes take part
4J STUDIOS – Scottish Athletics – WEST DISTRICT TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Saturday 11th May 2024
Eilidh Haggerty, our first Clydesdale Harriers Junior for quite a few years to represent the club at this level, competed in the UNDER 15 Girls 100m at the West District Track & Field Championships at Kilmarnock. Eilidh put together a string of fantastic performances to battle all the way through to the Final, finishing 2nd in her heat in a time of 13:38, 3rd in the semi-finals in a time of 13:39 and a good performance in the Final, but missed the medals in a time of 13:51. Well dome Eilidh and great effort on the day.
